What a day
Mike and I, decided it was time to look for a building for our new office.
While the trip didn’t go exactly as planned, due to the building being completely wrong for what we needed, and the fact that it was 2 hours away, we noticed something just a little bit further down the road.
While you probably don’t know this yet, as avidInteractive is not exactly actively promoting it just yet, AI is working on a beast of a promotion, which is to be ready by Oct 1st, 2007. The basis of the promotion is kind of a horror movie, and that’s about all I can say about it right now.
While in Blairsville, PA Mike happened to notice a sign that pointed to the Asylum, and decided we should at least go have a look. When we got down the road a little, we noticed that there was a new asylum on one side of the road, and the old asylum directly across the street.
The old asylum from first glance looked to be an ideal location for the footage our promotion needs.
So we decided to snap some photos with the trusty digital camera.
My job after we arrived back here, was to take the photos that were taken, and make them look old.
I realized something when doing this however, that made me realize that this may just very well be the best location in the world to film the footage.
I have included the photo, after the aging to show you what I found:

If you click to open the photo, the first thing you’ll notice is that I added a sepia/copper tint to make it look like an old picture. However, if you look at the photo close, you’ll notice some things that I did not see present in the photo before I added the sepia/copper tint. Look at the top window that is positioned almost center of the photo. Zoom in if necessary.
This has sparked us to research the place a little more thoroughly to find out what the history of the place is, before we decide to actually request permission to film there.
